10 Simple DIY Christmas Gifts

For even the Son of man came not to be served but to serve others
and to give his life as a ransom for many.

With the Christmas season just around the corner, you may be wondering how you can give to your loved ones this holiday season. While it is nice if you currently have the finances to give someone something off their wish list this season, sometimes the best gifts are homemade. I know I personally prefer something crafted from the heart than anything too fancy. Below are a few gifts ideas that you can make for your friends and family that they are sure to enjoy!
A Framed Photo Or Photobook: This is one of the least expensive yet most simple gifts to give this season. You can frame a family photo or utilize a site like Chatbooks to create a more personalized book. You can even add notes to the pages!
Sew A Festive Rice Bag: One of my favorite gifts I’ve been given is actually super easy to make. If you don’t know, a rice bag is just a fabric square filled with rice and maybe some essential oils that you can heat up in the microwave. These are great to use for cramps, headaches, joint pain, and more.
Put Together A Spa Day Set: Another fun treat that would be nice for your girlfriends is to put together a holiday-themed spa day care package. You can find super affordable face masks, nail polish, and other personal care and beauty items at most stores. However, with this gift idea you will want to be mindful of those who may have super sensitive skin.
Paint An Ornament: Get together with your loved ones and have an ornament-making party. Then you can exchange some of your fun and colorful creations at the end of the night!
Knit Them A Scarf: While I personally don’t know how to knit (though I’d love to learn), there is something so cozy and sweet about receiving a handmade scarf or other accessory.
Make A Custom Mug: You can find all kinds of DIY mug ideas on Pinterest. This would be the perfect gift for any of your coffee- or tea-loving friends.
Create A Card With A Handwritten Note: I’ve always been a fan of all the snail mail. There is something so sweet about receiving a handwritten card. You can also make this note extra sweet by adding a prayer as well for the person you're sending it to.
Baked Goods: Another easy holiday treat is baked goods! Who doesn’t enjoy having a decadent cookie or holiday cake? My personal favorite is peanut butter blossoms!
A Compliment Jar: This one is so fun! All you need is a mason jar and some scraps of paper. Fill the jar with compliments and positive encouragements.
Quality Time: Sometimes the best gift isn’t a gift at all. Carve out some extra time for your friends and family this season to just enjoy each other’s company. Best of all, this gift is completely free.
Those are just a few of the many ways you can give to your family and friends this Christmas season. Let us know your favorite DIY gift below! Merry Christmas!
