Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. - 2 Corinthians 5:17
Welcome to the family, sweet sister in Christ! I’m so glad you’re here! Have you ever wondered what it means to have a relationship with the Lord of Lords?
I remember the day I truly got saved at age twenty two. A new chance, a fresh start. A willingness to be used by God. So what does it mean? What does having a relationship with Christ really mean?
For me it meant saying no to the flesh and saying yes to the plans God had instead of my own. It meant getting rid of bad attitudes and selfish behaviors. It is a desire to be the best ambassador woman of God that I can possibly be. A complete turnaround inside out!
For you, (because each of us have our own convictions) it might mean something completely different. Having a relationship with Christ is certainly one of the best decisions you’ll ever make. It’s protection, it’s freedom. It’s an eternity with the Lover of your soul. And the best part is nothing you ever could do would separate you from His love (Romans 8:38-39). Nothing you could say would make you undesirable. He died for you! He desires that fellowship!
Maybe this is brand new for you, and you might be feeling shy. I’d like to encourage you to keep going! Read His Word each day! Ask for prayer and join a group of Bible-believing ladies! Lane of Roses is the perfect place to start. So many encouraging, beautiful young women with hearts of gold after God. After I initially got saved, community is what I most desired. To read the Bible is what I wanted most, and God provided! He’ll do the same thing for you, dear one. And choosing to trust God is a decision you will never ever regret. He loves you!
1. What are some ways you can choose to grow in your walk with Christ each day?
2. Is there someone who is brand new in the faith that you might be able to encourage?
Lord, I love You! Help me grow in knowledge and grace of you each day. Amen.
