In His grace, God has given us different gifts for doing certain
things well. So if God has given you the ability to prophesy, speak out with as much faith as God has given you. If your gift is serving others, serve them well. If you are a teacher, teach well. If your gift is to encourage others, be encouraging. If it is giving, give generously. If God has given you leadership ability, take the responsibility seriously. And if you have a gift for showing kindness to others, do it gladly.
- Romans 12:6-8
What is Lane of Roses?
Lane of Roses is a 501c3 non-profit based out of Kentucky whose heart is to advance the Gospel by engaging, empowering, and equipping women to live out their God-given purpose. The Lane of Roses team is comprised of several roles, from paid staff to volunteers from around the world. Each role has a unique purpose and voice that contribute to what God is doing through Lane of Roses. Here are what some of the ambassadors (or volunteers) have to say about their involvement:
Bible Study Ambassadors
The Bible Study Ambassadors host a weekly study for women using the Lane of Roses curriculum, investing in the lives of women local to where they live, as well as help facilitate the Bible Study Facebook group.
"As a Bible Study Ambassador I host a bible study for young women every week on my college campus. Through this Bible study, not only do we grow closer to God, but we also grow closer to each other and develop a community of like-minded believers. My favorite part about being on the Lane of Roses team is the sense of community. Although the team is all spread out over different states and countries, the sense of community through Lane of Roses is a community of supportive, God-loving women." - Calisa Henry
Social Media Ambassadors
The Social Media Ambassador is actively involved in all of the Lane of Roses’ social media accounts to help spread the Lane of Roses vision through posts and stories.
"I love being apart of Lane of Roses as a Social Media Ambassador as well as a Bible study member. Taking on a leadership role as Social Media Ambassador has been an awesome way to get more involved with monthly video assignment prompts that I’m given, and I respond to. These assignments help me dig deeper into my faith as well as put into words the application they have in my life. I like the responsibility of being apart of a bigger organization that is helping women and creating a community. I look forward to attending Bible study and I love the relationships I’ve made with the other women. Lane of Roses has been a huge part of my college and faith journey. I’m so thankful to be a part of it!" - Grace Ingram
The Writing Ambassador submits a monthly devotion based off the topics that are precisely chosen by the Lane of Roses staff and that goes through an editing process, of which the ambassador is actively involved in to ensure Biblical correctness.
"Being a part of Lane of Roses as a Writing Ambassador has been an amazing experience. The editing process of our monthly posts and the frequent video calls show just how invested the staff are not only with providing Biblically solid devotions to share with the world but also in the spiritual growth of every individual involved in this ministry. I personally was fortunate to be able to serve on missions with some of the staff members, including the founder Katie, and I can tell you that having engaged with these ladies in person and not just by text, phone call, and video call, they are the real deal. My involvement with Lane of Roses has not only grown me as a writer but also spiritually, and I have been quite thankful for this opportunity." - Casey Gordon
