Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
- Ephesians 3:20-21(ESV)
With God’s power working in us, He can do much, much more than anything we can ask or imagine. The word impossible needs to be removed from our dictionary, since Scripture is very clear that nothing is impossible for God. (Luke 1:37).
I, like you, never want to forget that powerful day that Jesus called my name. That day, I was not only saved by grace but also empowered by the gracious gift of the Holy Spirit.
Never underestimate God and do not underestimate yourself. Not only is everything possible, but He also works through you. You are a worker in building His kingdom. He has, is, and will accomplish great things through you. God cares about everything you are facing. If you are beginning something new, or in the middle of a trial, hold true to your faith. Be faithful to God, especially to the person He has built you to be. Every desire, every dream, and every amazing thing you’ve caught a glimpse of is attainable! His plans for you are so much higher than your own and are so good. (Jeremiah 29:11). He is even more! Even more than our wildest dreams, and it is all made possible because of who He is, not by our own doing. Do not underestimate the Lord’s companionship to you.
In 1 Corinthians 2:9, “it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.” (KJV) Dream big, dear one!
1. Are you underestimating the power of God in your life? The “even more” side of His character? Think about the reality of making your desires come to fruition.
2. How can you remind yourself that the Lord is with you? (Example, write a note on your bathroom mirror to read each morning.)
3. What are your dreams? Pray for all your dreams, even the ones that may make you feel silly.
Thank You for Your presence. Thank You for the gift and power of Your Spirit within me and thank You for loving me enough to send Your only Son to defeat sin. Help me see, trust, and follow You, Father, in all things. For it is You that I long to serve. In Your powerful Son’s name, Jesus, I pray, Amen.
