Who is God?

God is one God in three persons. This is what we call the Trinity: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Each person of the Trinity has a unique role, yet they are all fully God and work together on our behalf.
The Father is the God who loves us deeply and unconditionally. The Son, Jesus, came to earth, lived a perfect life without sin, and was fully God and fully man. Through His death and resurrection, and the blood He shed for us, we can be made right with God and have forgiveness for our sins. The Holy Spirit is our helper and guide, leading us into the truth of God through His Word.
The Father loves us. The Son gave His life for us. The Holy Spirit guides us. All three reveal the character and heart of the one true God.
But what does this mean for you?
It means that you have a Father who sees you, knows you, and loves you deeply. You have a Savior who gave His life for you, and the Holy Spirit who is with you and guides you in truth. God is not distant or disconnected from your life. He sees you exactly where you are and knows you more deeply than anyone else ever could. His love for you is personal, unconditional, and never dependent on what you can do for Him.
We grow in our relationship with God by knowing His Word and talking with Him through prayer. The more we know God and understand His character, the more we can live a life that reflects who He is.
Because of Jesus, you don't have to work to earn God’s love or prove that you are worthy of it. Your right standing with God is not dependent on your own work, but on the work Jesus completed for you on the cross. His grace is a gift. We respond to that gift by knowing His Word, talking with Him through prayer, and allowing the Holy Spirit to lead us in truth.
When we know God and understand His character, we begin to live differently. Not to earn His love, but because we have already received it.
